Facebook is a good web tool to use just because it gives you the opportunity to share things with family even if they dont live in your area. Being a army kid you dont often get to stay close to your family do to the fact that you move around a lot. Having facebook lets you talk to them, see them and you can share pictures or your thoughts with them. Facebook also has some bad qualities when it comes to protection although it is getting better. Now you can set your facebook so that no one besides friends and family can see your pictures and your statuses. It also lets you block people that you might not like or have problems with. When you set your profile the correct way it is pretty safe and you also get to stay in touch with friends and family that dont necessarily live close to you.
